Jimmy Carter - Gerald Ford Debate Day 1 Part 6 (1976)

Jimmy Carter - Gerald Ford Debate Day 1 Part 6 (1976) Video Clips. Duration : 11.00 Mins.

September 23, 1976 - Watch the full debate: thefilmarchived.blogspot.com Jimmy Carter: www.amazon.com Gerald Ford: www.amazon.com Despite his campaign's blunders, Ford managed to close the remaining gap in the polls and by election day the race was judged to be even. Election day was November 2, and it took most of that night and the following morning to determine the winner. It wasn't until 3:30 am (EST), that the NBC television network was able to pronounce that Carter had carried Mississippi, and had thus accumulated more than the 270 electoral votes needed to win (seconds later, ABC News also declared Carter the winner based on projections for Carter in Wisconsin and Hawaii; CBS News announced Carter's victory at 3:45 am). Carter defeated Ford by two percentage points in the national popular vote. The electoral vote was the closest since 1916; Carter took 23 states with 297 electoral votes, while Ford won 27 states and 240 electoral votes (one elector from Washington state, pledged to Ford, voted for Reagan). Carter's victory came primarily from his near-sweep of the South (he lost only Virginia), and his narrow victories in large Northern states such as New York, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. Ford did well in the West, carrying every state except Hawaii. The states that ultimately decided the election were Wisconsin (1.68% margin) and Ohio (.27% margin), both won by Carter. Had Ford won these states and all other states he carried, he would have won the presidency. The 27 ...

There should be no more than three sentences per paragraph. If you have more to add about a particular topic, you should revisit it after a relevant quote or at the end of the article. Your record will be cramped into a corner and put in thin columns, so writing with short paragraphs will look more engaging and readable. Most citizen forget this, and will write long and engaging paragraphs, full of information, but will wonder why so many citizen skip reading them.

The last thing you need to know about how to write newspaper articles is that your record should contain a picture. Words are less excellent than a picture, and a engaging photograph will make or break your readability. Without a picture, your record looks dry and unimportant. With a picture, you will suddenly gain notoriety and visibility.

Do Not Blame the System, Blame Your Objectively Wrong Use of the law

No matter what, universal and existence law works. It works like a piggy bank is supposed to work. You get out what you put into it, even if you make a mistake or do not. Life is that way to the fullest degree, let me illustrate my concept of the situation now. There is nothing to blame but yourself and your vigilance or lack of vigilance, meaning you are responsible for good lucky breaks, or horrible bad accidents. Your responsibility is your key factor in success or failure as well as whatever with their same key factor in success or failure, including mine. The universe and existence as law plays no favorites and has no worst enemies of it, we just are and we make a genuine selection what we do as a whole.

I am saying that the theory is good and very good when used right, I am also saying that the theory is bad and very bad when used wrong, no matter what. The theory I am talking about is existence and the universe. Sure, life is a big game to some and work for others. It does not matter about our concept of what life and all is, as long as we take the right actions, intended or unintended, there will be a best present, best tomorrow and memory of the past. Why do I say memory of the past as if it does not matter? Because it does not matter. What does matter is doing what you need to do in the gift and fulfilling the promissory note of the future with what you do in the gift so that you have a good past memory, that is the value of a good past, it is a foundation to know what to do, not whatever literal like the gift surely is or the future reality that will be the next gift will be. Great gift reasoning creates great past, gift and future events, and great judgment improves all things over all. Sure, the gift is classic to past and future, because of the importance it has to the relation to what you can literally do in it. But, think about this, the right use of the system, and I do mean the theory of existence is what it all comes down to. Even if used right by accident, it counts objectively toward your benefit. That objectivity indeed, is what makes reality totally reality.

John F Kennedy Quotes

In some ways, I sound in my writing like an objective "tree stump" trying to be dynamic, but reconsider this: Right action is the most dynamic thing in life and existence you can do, no matter what, no matter if by emergency or on purpose. Wrong action, even if it seems immediately beneficial, ultimately benefits no one. So, need I say this quote I once even read in a couple of "new thought" religious books: "Lying is the bottom order of creativity." So, that would make honesty the highest order of reality or realistic living in all reality. So, that brings me to someone else point, dishonesty is the bottom level of destructiveness.

So, how to solve a problem: Be unflinchingly honest with yourself, reconsider totally and truthfully all realistic options and then solve the problem.

I know, that is "ugly" advice, but when you want genuine solutions, it is the most beautiful advice in existence, the universe and the world. It is what all genuine leaders use to solve their problems and be leaders in the most genuine sense. So, my logic may be "overt", my heart may be "cold", but my mind and spirit are in the right place. That brings me to someone else point: What counts is what counts, nothing else matters. That is what I call The Clayton Razor, after what my Father said to me as a boy and I carry that doctrine into all things I do or do not do. Sure, it is "ridiculous" sounding to be that honest with yourself, but when push comes to shove, that is the reality, what most habitancy custom with their half truths and compromises is not. I just gave you the presuppose why real leaders are rare. Because half truths and compromises are normal, living by reality and real honest problem solving of the sort I just mentioned is not. So, to rightly and "wrongly" paraphrase United States President John Fitzgerald Kennedy, ask what your country can do for you and ask what you can do for your country, it must all work on both ends.

Sure, I can tell you, existence works just that way, with cold objective reasoning logic like the extreme computer that it is. Consciousness provides the creativity only when used right. That is my point. Consciousness provides the destructiveness when used wrong, that is also my point. We get what we plant, just like a farm or garden. That is all.

change - The devotee Key to Success

Change. Is it good or bad? How is comprehension change key to success? Quotes about change abound. John F. Kennedy observed, "Everything changes but change itself." Johann von Goethe pointed out that "Life belongs to the living, and he who lives must be prepared for change." according to Charles Darwin, "Change is inevitable, growth is optional." So clearly, the issue seems to be not so much what we think of change but rather how we react to it. And truth be told, there are probably few words that can throw up such a kaleidoscope of emotions and differing interpretations for us. On the one hand, change is exciting. We all want our lives to be 'different' in some way, after all there is no advance without change. We are all customary with the words "Today is the tomorrow you dreamed of yesterday." However, the word 'Change' also holds some very negative connotations.

The Oxford dictionary describes change as 'to make or come to be different'. And nobody likes to feel different. If you look up synonyms for changeable you will find words such as: 'volatile', 'uncertain', 'unsettled', 'unstable'. These words throw up emotions for us that make us feel 'insecure', 'vulnerable', 'unsure'. There is a small corner in all of us that likes to feel procure and safe And change clearly goes against that. However, once change has occurred we very often call it 'Progress', 'evolution', 'expansion', 'growth', 'advancement'. And this throws up a far more positive set of emotions. Suddenly we think, 'spontaneity', 'unconstrained', 'free'.

John F Kennedy Quotes

And so it appears it is not change itself that scares us so much as the transition process, that first step into the unknown. We like the stability of things as they are 'now'. Now is somehow comforting because of its familiarity. Yet our 'now' is changing every day. We probably all loved our bedroom as a kid, or had a favourite pair of shoes. My personal favourite was a pair of over-the-knee stripey socks. Great aged 10, not so great when I look back at the photos now! "To live is to change, and to be excellent is to change often" said John Henry Cardinal Newman. Reassuring to know that at least my fashion sense now fits the definition of 'perfect'!

Virtual JFK: Vietnam If Kennedy Had Lived Overview

In the era of nuclear confrontation, John F. Kennedy attempted to prevent war six times during his short tenure as president. He didn't live to face a seventh. Virtual JFK: Vietnam If Kennedy Had Lived takes up one of America's controversial what-if scenarios, examining the question: Would the U.S. have escalated the war in Vietnam if Kennedy was not assassinated in 1963? With insight and erudition, the film traces JFK's presidency a 1,000-day term plagued with tense political stand-offs through rare and previously-unseen archival footage, offering nuanced accounts of the former president's political decisions and, by extension, his probable response to the escalating conflict in Vietnam.

Featuring unprecedented access into the leadership style of one of the nation's most important leaders, Virtual JFK sheds new light on the man who helped avoid war in six crises and did not live to save America from the devastating war in Vietnam.

Q&A with Virtual JFK director Koji Masutani

What do you think virtual history can teach us that the more traditional study of history can't?

We identify our film as a work of "virtual history," a term coined by the Harvard historian Niall Ferguson. Virtual history, Ferguson explains, involves the study of "what if" questions: the investigation of how the past would have unfolded had precipitating events or the underlying conditions been different. In the case of Virtual JFK, we ask what if Kennedy had not died in 1963? Would he have chartered a less-disastrous course in Vietnam than his successor, Lyndon Johnson? The approach is controversial. The Cambridge historian of Soviet Russia, E.H. Carr, described counterfactual narratives as a "parlor game." History, he insisted, is "a record of what people did, not what they failed to do." Yet, historical analysis, by its nature, presupposes consideration of roads not taken. We believe that virtual history can teach us (or remind us) about the contingent aspects of history that more traditional history does not emphasize.

What drew you to JFK's presidency as a subject?

My formal background in International Relations attracted my attention to JFK's presidency—particularly within the framework of foreign policy issues. Virtual JFK represents the synthesis of more than forty years of debate, much of it acrimonious, over what Kennedy would have done in Vietnam had he not been assassinated. Although I grew up outside the United States, I have always been keenly aware of the enduring debates over what JFK would have done, and the parallel debate over who or what was behind JFK's murder. Oliver Stone's 1991 film, JFK, integrated these two issues into a single and conspiratorial hypothesis. In Virtual JFK, we deal decisively with what JFK would have done, and leave it to others to debate whether, as Stone believes, Kennedy was killed because he had decided to withdraw the U.S. from Vietnam. However the debate about the motives behind JFK’s assassination may evolve in the future, we believe, on the basis of considerable evidence, that if JFK had lived, he would have withdrawn the U.S. from Vietnam.

Can you discuss your collaboration with producer Peter Almond, who produced Thirteen Days, the Kevin Costner film on the Cuban Missile Crisis?

As a young filmmaker who is constantly setting foot on new terrain (by default), I require--without exception--a highly experienced producer. As in any industry with more than one member, when newcomers arrive they are bound to encounter an infinite array of personalities, conduct, and intellect. So being able to find and connect with a producer who demonstrates first-rate efficiency, responsibility, and perceptiveness has been critical to my learning curve. The task of delivering the film to an audience would have been a wildly different and impossible operation without a producer like Peter Almond.

How did your collaboration with the authors of Vietnam If Kennedy Had Lived: Virtual JFK (Rowman and Littlefield) come about? Was the origin of the project the book, or the film? How do you think the two complement each other?

I was fortunate to cross paths with two dynamic professors/authors from the Watson Institute for International Studies (at Brown University) almost immediately before graduating from college in 2005. I kept up a rigorous correspondence with them over email the summer after I graduated and, very quickly, we discovered that we had a team to be able to simultaneously produce a book, film, and a teacher's guide. The book and film—in particular—were produced side by side, and they complement each other in that one strengthens and enhances the other. There is only so much information that can be conveyed in an 80-minute documentary, and there is only so much that a reader can do to participate vicariously reading a book.

The project as a whole was not necessarily conceived within a narrow disciplinary framework, because the question of what JFK would have done in Vietnam long ago overspread disciplinary boundaries. Many people, from diverse backgrounds and professional allegiances, believe they have a stake in this question: government servicemen, journalists, archival researchers, historians, political scientists, economists, psychologists, novelists, poets, filmmakers, and songwriters. However, the specific origins of the Virtual JFK project lay at the intersection of three disciplines: Cold War history, diplomatic history, and the various branches of political science that deal with decision-making.

The Kennedy family continues to make news and capture our imagination as a nation. What do you think it is about the family and JFK in particular that we find so compelling?

To his admirers, JFK represented a presidential era of glamour, intelligence, wit and possibility. In my mind, this combination of assured traits plays well to the American attitude toward history, one where "personalities have always been more interesting than facts" (to quote Kennedy himself). This attitude toward history (and politics) possibly explains the receptivity to and appetite for all things Kennedy. To those interested in U.S. foreign policy history, of course, JFK and his assassination fuel interest for another reason: November 22, 1963, was the single most significant day in the history of the Vietnam War.

The film includes some incredible footage and audio recordings that were recently declassified and never seen or hear before. How did you go about tracking down these recordings?

For three years, we researched every possible source for footage and secretly recorded audio tapes revealing internal deliberations from the Kennedy administration. We conducted rigorous research via the National Archives, the John F. Kennedy Library Foundation, and the Miller Center of Public Affairs (particularly with help from Professor Marc Selverstone and his team). We conducted research for 36 months (uninterrupted) and we even tracked down JFK's family friends who--to this day--have been in possession of rare footage.

In addition to footage that would have otherwise been locked in vaults for decades longer, and in addition to recently declassified materials in the form of documents and audio tapes, Virtual JFK proudly features 30 entire minutes of Kennedy's press conferences--revealing moments of dismay, suspense, and outrage. Half a century after his abbreviated presidency, Americans are still trying to figure out who Jack Kennedy really was, and we invite viewers to get to know Kennedy directly--without talking heads or experts speaking on behalf of Kennedy.

Maybe it is not change that we fear so much as the loss of control that we connect with change. Change, on anyone level, always carries an element of risk. Sometimes that fear, that perceived risk, is so big that it keeps us where we are now despite the current discomforts. 'Better the devil you know' - even if he is prodding rather too hard with his three pronged fork.

At the other end of the scale, there are times when we have probably all been guilty of change for change' sake: We change our hair colour, we change the layout of the living room furniture. We may even change jobs. Why? We do it to avoid development the changes that absolutely matter in our lives. Deep down it may be our choice of career that is development us unhappy, but we will change our hair colour 'just to cheer ourselves up', because that is an 'easy change'.

I used to change jobs every 4 months. No job I ever found was the 'right job'. At some level, I believed that if I found the 'right job' I would be happy. Once, as I was preparing to move from Switzerland to Australia, a 'much more captivating job' my boss rather easily pointed out to me: "You can move to Australia if you want but nothing will change because you are still taking 'You' with you." Ouch. At that point I finally woke up to what I was doing. I was avoiding development the changes that I absolutely needed to be making, and my excuse was because I was too busy caught up in the 'now'.

My life was not going according to plan because I had never created a plan for my life. I had no devotee key to success. I liked the spontaneity of life. And it was favorable to be able to blame 'circumstance' and 'personal changes' when things were not going right. So where did all that get us? Is change good or bad? Can we now see how is change is key to success?

I guess, taking all things into account, the write back to that is: looking as change is inevitable, why not embrace it and analyse it and use it. Use change as an opportunity to portion what is going right or wrong, and procedure correct. Seize change as your devotee key to success. How else are we going to grow? I will leave you with one last quote by Charles Darwin: "It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent, but the one most responsive to change."

Money-Saving Tips For Renting Cars in North America

Most important, when shopping for the best deal, base your cost comparison on the final costs, not the advertised base rate. Once all the extra, non-optional charges are factored-in, the best deal may genuinely have had a higher base rental rate. Rental franchises are quite clever at tacking-on extra charges, manufacture them sound as if they're taxes, when in fact they're not. Thus, you'll see mysterious charges such as "Concession rescue fee" or "Customer factory Charge","Vehicle License Recoupment Fee", which translate to "our lease costs of our location","the cost of our infrastructure","our license plate cost", respectively. These bogus charges are arbitrary and will vary greatly from one franchiser to the next, adding as much as 15 per cent or more to your bill, not together with the real taxes that will go on top of all this. What this means in real terms is that an advertised rate of 30 dollars a day is genuinely 35 dollars before taxes. Such costs, in a normal world, should be included in the base rate, but unfortunately the car rental manufactures as a whole is guilty of this dishonest behavior and I'm afraid is does work at manufacture citizen believe they're paying less.

Don't go for the pre-paid tank of gas deal. You're not very likely to return the car completely empty and no matter what price per gallon/liter they quote, it's their win. The inconvenience of refilling the tank before returning the car is a very small thing!

John F Kennedy Quotes

Don't let them pressure you into buying optional features, such as insurance. Liability guarnatee is more than likely not important as your own course probably already covers you. For example if you're a Canadian or Us driver and you're renting in either country, your driver's liability guarnatee takes care of you. Some credit and debit cards also consist of such coverage. Furthermore, the high priced choice likely comes with a big deductible. Life guarnatee is just money thrown out the window.

The loss/damage waiver (Ldw) isn't insurance. The car they rent to you is covered by the their own guarnatee already, and the Ldw is just a treaty between you and the franchisor whereby they absolve you of any responsibility if the vehicle is damaged. The qoute is that the price of this choice often exceeds the rental rate. Ldw is a very prominent source of behalf for rental companies, and they're quite eager to sell it to you. The usual recommendation is to decline the Ldw, especially since your own guarnatee may already cover you for damage to rental vehicles.

Rental car franchises also inclined to charge a weekly rate for what is genuinely a 5 day rental. While sometimes the weekly rate might be a better deal than paying a daily rate for five days, verify first that that's genuinely the case. Verify that those bogus extra charges mentioned earlier as well as any other daily charges aren't also charged for 7 days instead of 5.

Book via the Internet for the best rates. Competition among the car rental clubs is most fierce on the Internet and there's no easier way to correlate rates. Pay concentration to the specials or "deals" on offer.

Most rental car franchises in the Usa accept debit cards with the scholar Card or Visa logo, instead of credit cards. However, few accept them in Canada and there are areas of the Usa where practically no rental clubs will accept them, such as in New York City. If you sustain a vehicle, make sure to verify that they genuinely accept your debit card, or you might have an embarrassing moment once you get there. Some states prohibit rental car clubs from refusing debit cards. Such is the case with New York state, apparently Nyc being exempt from that law.

Review the rental business agreement determined before signing it. Some unscrupulous franchisers are known to add-on rental options without asking if you genuinely want them. One even had me down for life insurance, as if that had anyone to do with renting a car!

Now, a dirty little trick of your own: all the time book "economy" cars, thus guaranteeing the lowest rate possible. If you book well in advance, it's most likely that they won't have any cheaper vehicles on the lot when you get there, and you'll be upgraded to a compact, mid-size car or even a van at no extra charge. If you didn't genuinely want the cheaper car and they have one, then just change your mind on the spot and upgrade, although in this case you will pay a higher rate. In the long run, you'll save a fortune, even if you're being a bit dishonest in the process!

Some rental clubs allow you to drop-off the vehicle at a separate location within the same state at no extra charge. For example, I recently picked-up a vehicle from National rent-a-car at Westchester County airport and dropped it off at John F Kennedy airport at no extra cost. Normally, you would have to pick-up the vehicle at the same place as you drop it off, and in the case of Jfk, that would have meant a much higher rental cost.

Creative Branding Techniques for Introverts

Introverts are people who live on the quiet side of life, who would rather sit at home and draw or read than go to a party. They're not the ones who facilely schmooze a meeting, shaking hands and nudging shoulders with everybody or squeeze their way into a huddle of strangers at a enterprise conference.

Instead, introverts thrive by production the most of their talents, such as creativity. Either this is visual or verbal creativity, it means developing catchy concepts that attract the attention, interest and engagement of perfect clients. When used on the Web, in printed promotions and in publicity materials, these creative elements work their magnetism without requiring introverts to become an outgoing pretender. They create a delightful, memorable enterprise image by packing a little pizazz around a kernel of truth.

Here are seven creative branding tools that can fit the bill for introverts. Of course, extroverts are free to use them as well!

Seven Creative Branding Tools

1. Moniker. Concoct an imaginative name for yourself, one that's fun to encounter, easy to remember and dramatizes a talent you have or the value you deliver to customers. Examples: Patrick Snow, the Dean of Destiny; Diane Armstrong, Queen of Plan Be; Lynda Falkenstein, Dr. Niche; David Leonhardt, the Happy Guy; Carolyn Scarborough, the Book Whisperer.

2. Creative job title. Saying you're an accountant or an interior designer can make people's eyes glaze over, because they think they already know what such a pro does. On the other hand, if you introduce yourself as a sales-from-the-podium expert (Lisa Sasevich), a soul mate magician (Catherine Behan) or a reliance turn alchemist (Tad Hargrave), you'll see people lean toward you and want to know more.

3. Promise or claim. What you do, phrased as a pledge or a vow, can capture people's imagination. Two instances of this that have caught my eye are Suzanne Falter-Barns' "Get Known Now" and Chris Guillebeau's "I write, travel, and help people take over the world."

4. Signature photo. An eye-catching picture can not only attract interest but also convey a capability that belongs to your essence. Holistic psychologist Dr. Doris Jeanette, who teaches people how to be grounded and emotionally balanced, has an splendid yet characteristic photo of herself carrying her groceries home from the supermarket on her head. Sean D'Souza introduces himself online in a full-body, off-kilter pose, which summarizes his irreverent attitude toward marketing and presentations.

5. Photo caption. Sometimes the stoppage capability of a photo lies in a clever caption. For example, on its feel page, the Hawaii Web Group shows person surfing, accompanied by this: ""If we don't get back to you right away, we're probably in an important board meeting and will feel you when we get out." ("Board meeting" is a pun... Surfboard, get it?)

6. Slogan or rallying cry. Arouse customers with an inspiring, piquant or stirring statement. Leslie Irish Evans does this with "Mommy Martyrs No More!" My favorite example is unquestionably the phrase on New Hampshire license plates, "Live Free or Die."

7. Proverb or quote. You can make person else's saying or a legendary adage your own, when it summarizes the religious doctrine fundamental your enterprise. John Hutson, who helps gift and defend assurance claims, prominently uses a quote by John F. Kennedy, "The time to repair the roof is when the sun is shining." Diana Schneidman named her enterprise of helping freelancers initiate themselves and thrive after a Japanese proverb, "Fall down seven times, stand up eight."

Naturally such branding techniques serve you well only when all the other aspects of your enterprise take great care of customers. As history's many showman, P.T. Barnum, put it, "Large stores, gilt signs, flaming advertisements will all prove unavailing if you or your employees treat your patrons abruptly." Introverts also should heed his point.

group Speaking - Knowing When to Stop! Part Ii

Masters of the Pause

When you pause, you produce the pace from the starting of your talk. You let the audience know that the data is going to be coming at them at a pace that they can handle. You let them know right up front that you will be delivering your story in the form of a newspaper - not a textbook.

John F Kennedy Quotes

So to put the process all together, speaking properly is about is finding one person, giving one thought, and then taking one pause. One pause long adequate for them to ingest the last thing you said, reference it and catalog it, before you ask them to open up to new information.

A Thousand Days: John F. Kennedy in the White House Overview

As special assistant to the president, Arthur Schlesinger witnessed firsthand the politics and personalities that influenced the now legendary Kennedy administration. Schlesinger’s close relationship with JFK, as a politician and as a friend, has resulted in this authoritative yet intimate account in which the president “walks through the pages, from first to last, alert, alive, amused and amusing” (John Kenneth Galbraith). A THOUSAND DAYS is “at once a masterly literary achievement and a work of major historical significance” (New York Times).

One person, one thought, one pause.

When you engage these behaviors, you will find that your association with the audience changes in many ways. Not only does the group dynamic change, but also the types of feedback you get from the group, because in many cases, you'll find habitancy in the audience who've been through lifetimes of presentations and never felt engaged at that same level.

When you expert Lock, Talk, & (especially) Pause, what you find is that habitancy truly come up to you at the end of the meeting say things like, "You know, Jane, I've heard this data before, but nobody's ever explained it in quite the same way. Somehow, you made it all understandable". Or, "Somehow, I felt that you truly cared about my insight what you had to say. This was a great presentation". That "somehow" was your giving them the capability to truly hear what you said.

The clear feedback you'll get is a good thing, too, because the more of it you get, the more it will reinforce your desire to hone The Skills every time you speak. And you will get a exiguous bit great every time you do. In fact, speaking well is a lifelong process - but one that just keeps on getting great as long as you do it.

Mark Twain gets a lot of quotes attributed to him that he never said, but one of the things he did say was:

"The right word may be effective, but no word was ever as sufficient as a rightly timed pause".
Way back then, Mark Twain knew good old Rule #3, that habitancy only start listening when you stop talking.

The Great One

When we ask our on-site participants to name the someone they reconsider to be the most sufficient speaker in group life today, Bill Clinton is the name that most often rises to the top. habitancy think of Bill Clinton, regardless of his politics (which we won't discuss here) as a great group speaker. And the reality is Bill Clinton was some poor kid from Arkansas who made it to a pretty high office because one thing he figured out how to do is speak.

Bill Clinton is opinion of as a great speaker for good reason. Bill Clinton is the expert of the Pause. There's no speaker today who knows more about how to get a message over by saying a few words and then pausing to let it sink in. In fact, Bill Clinton probably says fewer words in the middle of pauses than any other politician. [Editor's note: Barack Obama is fast on his heals, but still has a ways to go before he can steal the mantle. We think history will weigh in on this in time.]

When you listen to Clinton speak, you find yourself not just hearing what he just said, but also waiting in prospect for his next words. And that is the second think that the pause is so vital. When you don't give the audience frequent breaks in the stream of your words, important on their minds is when you are going to stop talking so their brains can have a rest.

But when you fill your stream of thoughts with opportunities for them to rest in the middle of each one, you will find your audience truly waiting to hear your next words. They are primed to listen, so the impact of the words when they do arrive is much, much greater.

Bill Clinton learned The Skills, and learned how to be a master, by listening to his hero in life - John F. Kennedy. coming up, you will hear for yourself how each of these masters deliver their words not to hear themselves speak, but with their audience's capability to hear and realize important in mind.

Bill Clinton is an sufficient speaker because he gives everybody in the audience all the time each needs to discharge what he said before he asks them to pick up on the next thing he's going to say. He gives them the time to discharge it, process it, and form a clear photo of the words before he asks them to take in new information.

Bill Clinton, and Jack Kennedy, and Ronald Reagan and Martin Luther King and just about anyone that has ever truly moved you by their style of speaking all know one thing: the most sufficient thing you can do when you speak is to Not.
